Goals I Hope to Achieve for My Junior Year • BTS With Gianna | Gianna & Gemini

Basically, I have NO motivation for school.

I have NO organization skills and am basically a mess when it comes to staying organized and doing well in school. So don’t listen to me when I’m telling you organization tips.

BUT, I want to do better this year, because shoving loose papers in a binder isn’t my idea of organization anymore.

So for today’s post, join me as I share my goals for this new school year! Hopefully, I’ll actually achieve them, but I am not going to focus on that too much….

monday (1)

#1 Get B’s or above for the entire year.

As a sophomore, my grades weren’t terrible, but I did get some C’s, and it always upset me and discouraged me.

For this year, I want to keep my grades up for the entire year. Even if I get one C on a test or a quiz, I want to not get discouraged and to keep trying to improve and understand the topic to do better.

#2 STOP Procrastinating

If you didn’t know, I procrastinate. A lot.

Half of my time during school is not doing a paper or a project until a few days before, and then completely rushing to finish it on time. And while it worked and I got the good grade I wanted, it’s not good.

I get stressed out about how I’m going to finish it on time, when I have other things to do. And with blogging on my plate as well, I don’t want to over complicate things and make everything harder than it needs to be.

So I’m going to try to be a little more organized.

#3 Stop shoving loose papers in folders and then not putting them in the holders.

You know how folders have those flaps that you put paper in? Yeah, well I’m that one person in the entire world who ignores them and just puts it on top of that flap.

that’s how you’re SUPPOSED to do, and yet i do it the complete opposite way.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

So when my folder happens to accidentally fall, all the papers will literally fall out, and it’s my fault. And then when I’m shoving them back inside (the wrong way) to rush to class, it gets even more messed up.

And I also never clean out my folder, so that doesn’t make it any better.

#4 Don’t put blogging above school.

I love blogging so much, but I don’t want to let myself use blogging as an excuse to not do my schoolwork or for studying. I want to stay on top of school and do blogging as well, balancing them both on a good height on a pedestal.

Because I’ve used blogging as an excuse for WAYY too long, and its time I stop.

#5 Try to be slightly organized.

I’m not organized. I never have been, but I think I should start.

my brain during school

School can be 10x harder when you don’t know where you put something important. Chaos is a ladder, and at the beginning of the year I am at the bottom, but at the end I am at the top.

So for this year, I am going to try to use my binders and folders the right way.

And hopefully, I’ll stick with it!!

Hopefully these goals will help keep me centered and focused during school. Cause as much as I hate school, I still do need it to get good grades and do well.

Do any of you make goals for school or blogging? If yes, share them in the comments below. I would love to hear what you do to stay motivated and focused.

Until next time…

  1. I loved your post. I am in school as well working on my masters. I went through the same process with getting myself together a little more so that I could be more organized. Life can get a little crazy sometimes with me being a mom, working full time, school and extracurricular stuff for my kids. But I had to learn to set some time out to get my work down and then I could go and enjoy family time. My family is very mindful of my school work when they see me focusing. But it had to start with me prioritizing.
